Beat The Waitlist are thrilled to offer for sale this VERY GOOD CONDITION Rolex Milgauss with the sought-after 'Z-Blue' Sunburst dial. This piece was sold new from the Authorised Dealer in 2017 and still has factory stickers to the outside and inside of the clasp in place. Uniquely, this is the only Rolex of their entire collection to ever feature a tinted green sapphire crystal. Crafted in all Steel, featuring an automatic mechanical movement with 48hr power reserve and oyster bracelet with satin/brushed outer links and polished centres.

This fantastic full set is supplied with all boxes and paperwork (warrantee card signed, manual, service booklet and swing tags).

CONDITION REPORT

This piece is in VERY GOOD CONDITION cosmetically, partial factory stickers demonstarte how well looked -after the watch has been by its one previous owner. We can verify that the piece has not been polished by a third party during its life and is all original in finish. We have also tested the watch for time keeping and it is functioning well as expected.

THE MODEL & PROVENANCE

This Oyster Perpetual Milgauss features a Z-blue dial with luminescent hour markers, a green sapphire crystal produces light reflections while preserving optimal legibility.

With its clean lines and evocative orange seconds hand, shaped like a lightning bolt to echo the original model, the Milgauss is recognisable at a glance.

The green sapphire crystal is a unique watch crystal developed by Rolex, it is scratch-proof, fade-proof and available exclusively on the Milgauss. Its light green shade, tinted throughout the entire crystal, turns nearly luminescent at the bevelled edges. The result of a secret process that required years of development to master and takes weeks to produce.

Green sapphire crystal marked a first in watchmaking when it was introduced on the Milgauss in 2007. Now this crystal is combined with an electric blue dial, an allusion to the emblematic lightning-bolt-shaped seconds hand.

The first innovation at the heart of the Milgauss' resistance to magnetic interference is the shield inside the Oyster case. Made of ferromagnetic alloys selected by Rolex, it surrounds and protects the movement. The symbol for magnetic flux density – the capital letter 'B' with an arrow – is engraved in this magnetic shield, but only Rolex-certified watchmakers will ever see it.

This means that we are now very picky with the pieces we choose to offer to our clients and we only buy watches that would be fit for our own collections because why should we have a different or lower standard for our clients?

So what does this mean in practice? How high are our standards? You can now rest assured that when buying from Beat The Waitlist EVERY piece will meet the following enthusiast-level standards:

a) No Rolex newer 5 years old or newer we would ever offer for sale that we believe has been polished by machine.

b) No watch, whatever the age, brand or price point, we will ever offer for sale that we believe has been over polished or polished/refinished poorly. Our founder Vinny can't stand this and therefore just wont handle them. Over polished watches lose their premium aesthetic, look awful and are poor as long-term investments.

c)All watches 5 years old or newer will be provided as full set with original boxes and paperwork because there is no reason they should be missing at such age.

d)All watches 5 years old or newer will be provided with FULL FACTORY SIZE issued bracelets with all removed links provided in the set.
